When was the last time you bought something for yourself that just made you feel sexy?
We are all in a hurry these days being pulled in different directions between work and family. Our responsibilities sap us of energy and leave little left for taking care of ourselves and ensuring intimacy remains in our lives.
Sweet EscapeTM was created as a space for women and their partners to come and leave the reality of the world behind and indulge in pleasure, fun, romance and love. A place to come explore your sensual side - we all have one - some of us just need a little more coaxing to bring it out.
After 16 years in corporate human resources, specifically benefits, I found the direction of my role start to lean toward wellness. I watched people come and go from work creating unhealthy lifestyles leading to disease, stress and unhappiness. I was one of the people who day-in and day-out worked at least a 12 hour day, I ate poorly wasn’t exercising, and I was miserable. I launched a wellness program that was well received by other employees and I saw the appetite we all have to lead healthier, happier lives. I also began to realize how much I enjoyed the proactive and creative energy wellness brought to me in my career.
When I lost my job in the Fall of 2009 I felt lost. Like so many others, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find a job. There was another part of me though that was afraid of finding a job and returning to a cycle of being miserable in my chosen profession. It took many months, but I finally came to realize I could no longer put so much energy into the work of fulfilling someone else’s dream, and I needed to start working on my own dream. I saw a spot light on a boutique that was creating a comfortable atmosphere for women to discuss and discover their sexuality and was surprised to find myself thinking it looked like fun. I came to discover that my passion for wellness is what drew me into to the concept for Sweet EscapeTM. The current statistic of women dissatisfied with their sex life is between 30 – 40%, and this is believed to be underestimated. It’s still not socially acceptable for women to desire sex or want to explore their sexuality and there are very few public venues available for women to stay in touch with their sensual sides.
Within Sweet Escape TM, we’ve created a romantic and comfortable atmosphere for all to come and find something to enhance or bring a new spark to our intimate time.
I’ve always found it easy to talk to others about sex, but with my husband it’s still hard for me. I felt extremely vulnerable discussing my own desires, and realized many other women feel the same way. Sweet Escape TM is giving women the tools to start those intimate conversations with their partner, discovering what their desires are and how they and their partner can help fulfill those desires.
As women, we go through many phases in our lives. We spend years trying to figure ourselves out, creating and sustaining relationships, having and nurturing children, dealing with the changes our body moves through as we age and Sweet Escape TM is there behind the scenes to remind you that if you don’t take time to stop and renew yourself, no one else will.
